EU parliament committee agrees ‘ecodesign’ standards for products

As part of its planned circular economy package, the environment committee says goods must be easy to repair and backs a ban on the destruction of unsold products.

The European parliament’s environment committee has agreed proposals to make products in the EU more environmentally friendly, circular and energy efficient, during a vote in Strasbourg yesterday.
