EU urged to bolster role of battery storage in renewables plan

Energy storage industry presses EU policymakers to make changes to REPowerEU.

European energy storage companies have called on policymakers to rework the EU’s renewable energy plan to give storage a far greater role. Such a rethink could open the way to new investment opportunities and improve energy security, the companies said in a blog post published on the website of Fluence Energy, a multinational manufacturer of energy storage products.
