Funds embrace ESG terminology in prospectuses

More funds are including detailed ESG criteria in their prospectuses, reflecting tighter regulatory enforcement over greenwashing, according to ISS.

The number of mutual funds and exchange traded funds explaining their use of environmental, social and governance terminology in their prospectuses after their launch almost doubled between 2021 and 2022, according to ISS Market Intelligence’s analysis of the ESG fund market.
