Non-white directors occupy 20% of US corporate board seats, study finds

Research by ICS shows that ethnic minority directors occupy a growing share of corporate board seats at some of the largest publicly traded companies in the US.

About a fifth of US corporate board seats are occupied by ethnic minority directors as of January 2023, according to an analysis of some of the biggest US companies by data provider ISS Corporate Solutions, the largest ratio recorded to date.
