Regulatory Round-up: Liz Truss’s ESG challenges; Thai banking commitments

The UK Sustainable Investment Finance Association has reacted warily to the appointment of a new UK government led by Conservative prime minister Liz Truss, who has an avowedly deregulatory agenda.

“We strongly challenge the perception that UK investors favour a regulatory ‘race to the bottom’,” said James Alexander, the trade body’s chief executive. “Our members urgently require clarity on the future direction of a number of policy initiatives needed as the core of the UK’s sustainable finance regulatory framework.”
