Report highlights green finance shortfall in Europe

Much more needs to be done to meet net zero ambitions, says think-tank New Financial, which found the UK is particularly lagging.

More than €750bn in green finance was raised by corporates, financial institutions and governments in Europe between 2017 and 2021, according to a new report by think-tank New Financial. But this needs to increase significantly to meet net zero pledges, noted the study.
