British MPs demand ‘war effort’ to cut energy bills and carbon emissions

Members of parliament have published recommendations on how the British government can accelerate the green transition and demanded an end date for oil and gas licensing.

The UK parliament’s Environmental Audit Committee has called for “a national mobilisation, or ‘war effort’,” to cut household energy bills, lower emissions and reduce reliance on fossil fuel imports.
