A reluctance by standard-setting bodies to include carbon credits in net zero plans is preventing companies from participating, or engaging more, in the voluntary carbon market, concludes a survey of business leaders

Net zero standard-setting bodies such as the Science Based Targets initiative should recognise carbon credits as a viable route to net zero, according to the results of a survey of 187 global corporate leaders by the We Mean Business Coalition, data firm Intercontinental Exchange, and consultancy Bain & Company.
