The proportion of environmental and social shareholder resolutions that get passed has fallen steadily since 2021

Non-profit ShareAction says just 3 per cent of environmental and social shareholder resolutions from 2023 that it has reviewed received majority backing, compared to 21 per cent of resolutions in 2021 and 14 per cent in 2022. Of the 257 resolutions assessed by ShareAction, only eight were passed.
