Securities and Exchange Board of India outlines proposals that could oblige major corporations to seek third-party verification of their ESG claims.

India’s securities regulator, the Securities and Exchange Board of India, is continuing to revamp the country’s environmental, social and governance rulebook by launching a consultation paper on corporate disclosures, ratings in the securities market and investing by mutual funds.
