New research suggests EU could end Russian gas imports by 2025

Think-tanks call for EU policymakers to be more ambitious in reaching energy security as war in Ukraine enters its second month.

The EU could end its reliance on Russian gas two years earlier than planned without prolonging coal assets or building new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, according to new analysis by a group of think-tanks.
