UN-backed hub launches in LatAm to ‘tropicalise’ international frameworks

The hub is set to assist central banks, regulators and the financial sector in Latin America and the Caribbean as they tackle climate risk.

Latin America and the Caribbean is particularly vulnerable to the physical risks of climate change, with the Inter-American Development Bank forecasting that the consequences of climate-related events will cost the region $100bn per year over the next three decades.
