The European Commission has announced it has opened two in-depth investigations under its foreign subsidies regulation, related to the public procurement procedure of a photovoltaic park in Romania, which is partly funded by EU money. Two bidders with links to China have been singled out, with the commission stating “sufficient indications” point to them having been granted foreign subsidies that distort the internal market.
