The aviation industry is pushing ‘sustainable aviation fuels’, but decarbonising air travel won’t come cheap

“Today’s flight shows the future of flying,” the UK government said in a statement announcing the first transatlantic flight to be powered by 100 per cent sustainable aviation fuel on November 28.
