The EU executive has issued its response to the EEA’s climate risk assessment amid accusations it has reduced climate action ambition in the face of the recent farmers’ protests

All levels of government, the private sector and civil society must act to bring down emissions and implement actions to adapt to the impacts of climate change, the European Commission said in its response to the stark findings of the first European Climate Risk Assessment, published on Monday by the European Environment Agency.
