Polish energy company Enea has received shareholder approval to sue former management and insurers over a failed coal investment, in a case that shares similarities with the 2023 UK lawsuit against Shell’s board of directors

Last month, Polish energy company Enea held an extraordinary general meeting in which 87 per cent of votes favoured proceeding with the filing of a lawsuit against former board directors who approved the construction of a coal power plant that ultimately failed to materialise.
