Solar PV manufacturing needs $30bn to rival China, says IEA

Solar is en route to replace coal as the largest source of power capacity in the world by 2027, according to the International Energy Agency.

The International Energy Agency has predicted a surge in solar photovoltaic manufacturing capacity in the US, India and the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to rival China in the next five years – but only if it receives major investment.
