UK directors’ code of conduct awaits government response amid political turmoil

The Institute of Directors has urged the UK business secretary to commission a high-level working group to draft a code on business conduct and accountability.

The UK Institute of Directors (IoD) has called for the creation of a voluntary code of conduct for company directors to increase accountability mechanisms, following corporate failures such as P&O Ferries or Carillion, which have eroded public trust in business leadership.
