MEPs back inclusion of mortgage standards in buildings’ energy performance rules

Campaigners say the decision to include mortgage portfolio standards in the proposed Energy Performance of Buildings directive will help to boost energy renovation rates in the EU.

The European parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) voted on February 9 to include mortgage portfolio standards in the EU’s proposed Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
